Creative Europe
As of the 1st of January 2014, Creative Europe will deliver a €1.46 billion boost to Europe's cultural and creative industries. It is expected to benefit 300,000 cultural professionals and reach 100 million European citizens.
Creative Europe will help support the distribution of over 1,000 films in 2,500 cinemas, and will translate 5,500 books.
Creative Europe features a bank guarantee, the Cultural and Creative Sectors Guarantee Fund, that will be introduced in 2016. The fund is worth €121 million and will help underwrite all bank loans to creative businesses

The King's Speech UK weekend box office statistics
On the first weekend of release, The King's Speech was viewed at 395 cinemas and rated 1st on the charts. The movie, 127 Hours was also released on the same week as The King's Speech but only viewed at 310 cinemas and rated 2nd on the charts.
On week 2, The King's Speech continued to stay at number 1 with an increase in 25% of the views. 127 Hours, however, dropped to 3rd and had a decrease in 38% of the views. This shows The King's Speech to be quite successful in its first week of viewing.
By week 3, The King's Speech continued to hold its place at number 1, although it had a decrease of 4% in the views. 127 did not do as well, dropping to 6th place and with a further decrease of 40% of the views.
